2 The competition
2.1 The Promoter is the operator of a competitions based website https://youwonwhat.com/ (“Website”) through which entrants can submit their answers to skills and knowledge based questions for an opportunity to win prizes.
2.2 Each competition and prize is detailed on the Website which can include the specific competition details (“Competition Details”).
2.3 Each competition will allow a maximum number of entries as specified in the Contract Details (“Maximum Entries”).
3 How to enter
3.1 The competition will run from the date listed in the Competition Details (the “Opening Date“) to and will be open to take entries until the date and time specified in the Competition Details, or until the Maximum Entries has been reached, whichever is the earliest (the “Closing Date“).
3.2 The Closing Date may be extended by up to six (6) weeks in the event that the Maximum Entries has not been reached by the date listed in the Competition Details. Any extension of time will be notified on the Website or on our facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/Youwonwhat-110085131118750
3.3 All competition entries must be received by the by the Closing Date. All competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
3.4 Entrants wishing to enter the competition by submitting an answer to a specific skills and knowledge based question as set out in the Competition Details (“Question”).
3.5 In order to enter the competition, the answer to the Question must be submitted either:
3.5.1 online via the Website;

22.214.171.124 the answer to the Question specific to that competition and specified in the Competition Details; and
126.96.36.199 the entrants contact details including full name, date of birth, email address and contact telephone number.
3.6 The entrant recognises that they must exercise skill, knowledge and judgement to answer the Question correctly.
3.7 Entrants are responsible for ensuring that they have provided accurate contact details when entering the competition. Such contact details will be used to contact the entrant in the event that the entrant has won a prize.
3.8 The entrant acknowledges that if they win a prize, their name and the name of the postal town in which they reside will be published on the Website.
3.9 The entrant further acknowledges that if they win a prize, they will be asked to have photographs taken or partake in video footage which will be published on the Website and social media platforms of the Promoter for marketing purposes.
3.10 The Promoter will not accept:
3.10.1 responsibility for competition entries that are incomplete, failed, lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of use of the Website, any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, high internet traffic, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind;
3.10.2 responsibility for any failure or inability to contact the entrant as a result of incorrect contact information being supplied by the entrant when entering the competition;
3.10.3 any liability for any loss suffered by an entrant as a result of incomplete entries or failed computer communications or for any loss suffered as a result of use of the Website; and/or
3.10.4 proof of transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.
3.11 By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.
3.12 The competition entries will be judged by one or more judges based on the correct answers. The decision of the judge(s) (acting reasonably) will be final.
3.13 A list of names of the judge(s) is available from the Promoter on request.
4 Entry Fee
4.1 There is no purchase necessary. Entries made online will be subject to an entry fee as stated in the Competition Details (“Entry Fee”). Entries submitted via post will be free of charge.
4.1.1 You may enter the competition for free by complying with the following conditions:
- (a) send your entry by first class post to the Promoter at the following address:

- (b) include with your entry the following information:
- (i) your full name;
- (ii) your address;
- (iii) a contact telephone number and email address; and
- (iv) your answer to the Competition Question.
- (c) incomplete or illegible entries will be disqualified;
- (d) you may make one (1) free entry for any competition per household (up to any limit placed on entries by the Promoter) each free entry must be submitted and posted to the Promoter.
- (e) by entering the competition, you are confirming that you are eligible to enter and accept these terms and conditions;
- (f) your entry must be received by the Promoter prior to the Closing Date. Entries received after the Closing Date will not be entered into the random draw;
- (g) the Promoter will not acknowledge receipt of your entry nor confirm if your answer to the Competition Question is correct;
- (h) if the number of paid entries reaches any cap or limit before your free entry is received, you will not be entered into the random draw.
- (i) the PO box is checked twice a week, Monday and Wednesday, you should consider this prior to sending your entry.
4.2 Only entrants who answer the Question correctly will be entered into the draw for the opportunity to win the prize. Entrants who answer the Question incorrectly will not be entered into the draw but will still be charged.
4.3 Payment of the Entry Fee shall be made in pounds sterling via a third party website. Entrants will be redirected to the third party website to take payment of the Entry Fee in accordance with the third party website terms and conditions.
4.4 Entrants acknowledge that answering the Question correctly and making the payment of the Entry Fee does not guarantee in any way that they will win a prize.
4.5 All entries to the competition are final and the Entry Fee shall be non-refundable unless:
4.5.1 The entry has been submitted after the Closing Date;
4.5.2 Or if there has not been enough entries to each the Maximum Entries and the Promoter, at their discretion, closes the competition.
4.6 The Promoter may run multiple competitions at the same time. Each competition will have a specific prize as specified in the Competition Details.
5.1 The competition is only open to all residents in the UK aged 18 years or over, except:
5.1.1 the Promoter;
5.1.2 employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies;
5.1.3 employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or
5.1.4 members of the immediate families or households of 5.1.1, 5.1.2 and 5.1.3 above.
5.2 In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
5.3 The Promoter will not accept competition entries that are:
5.3.1 automatically generated by computer;
5.3.2 completed by third parties or in bulk; or
5.4 Entrants entering the competition via post are limited to one entry per entrant per competition.
5.5 The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the competition.
5.6 Competition entries cannot be returned.
5.7 The Promoter reserves the right to cancel the competition at any time. If the competition is cancelled the Promoter will return the Entry Fee to each entrant (either by bank card refund or by cheque and in one combined payment where several Entry Fees have been made). Where the Entry Fee is returned to the entrant, the Promoter shall have no further liability to the Entrant or to any other person.
6 The prize
6.1 The prize will be as detailed in the Competition Details or the Prize Fund in accordance with clause 6.4.
6.2 The Promoter may run multiple competitions at the same time. Each competition will have a specific prize as specified in the Competition Details.
6.3 The Promoter will transfer ownership of the prize to the winner by completing form V5C. The form V5C must be completed prior to the prize being delivered to or collected by the winner. Title to the prize will transfer to the winner upon completion of the form V5C.
6.4 The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with a cash alternative to the value of the total Entry Fees received less 30% to cover the Promoters administration costs plus any expenses incurred (including but not limited to marketing costs, payment solutions, legal fees and/or website hosting) (the Prize Fund).
6.5 The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control makes it necessary to do so.
6.6 The Promoter does not guarantee the value of the prize. All new prizes come with standard manufactures warranty. Used items / vehicles are safety checked and will come with MOT if applicable.
6.7 The Promoter does not imply or give any warranty or accept any valuation of the prize.
6.8 In entering the competition, the entrant acknowledges that prior to entering the competition they have made their own enquiries both legal and otherwise as to the prize.
6.9 The winner is responsible for obtaining its own insurance relating to the prize, making sure that the prize is roadworthy, and that they hold a valid UK driving licence.
6.10 The prize is not negotiable or transferable.
7.1 There will be one winner per competition only unless otherwise stated in the Competition Details.
7.2 The winning entrant for each competition will be selected at random using the Google Random Number Generator live on the Promoters Facebook page.
7.3 Full details of the time and date of the competition draw will be confirmed on the Promoters Facebook page and Website within 48 hours of the Closing Date (“Announcement Date”).
7.4 The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into about the result of the competition following the determination of the winner.
7.5 The Promoter will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date, using the telephone number or email address provided with the competition entry. The Promoter will not amend any contact information once the competition entry form has been submitted.
8 Claiming the prize
8.1 On completion of the competition, title to the prize will be transferred from the promoter to the competition winner in accordance with clause 6.3.
8.2 The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner using the contact details provided by the entrant as part of the competition entry. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their prize within 7 days of the Announcement Date, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner in accordance with the draw procedure set out in clause 7.2.
8.3 The winner is required to collect the prize from the Promoter’s registered address. If you are the winner of the prize, you will have 28 days from the Announcement Date to claim the prize by personally attending the offices of the Promoter.
8.4 The Promoter does not accept any responsibility for entrants who are not able to take up the prize.
9 Limitation of liability
Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
10 Ownership of competition entries and intellectual property rights
10.1 All competition entries and any accompanying material submitted to the Promoter will become the property of the Promoter on receipt and will not be returned.
10.2 By submitting your competition entry and any accompanying material, you agree to:
10.2.1 assign to the Promoter all your intellectual property rights with full title guarantee; and
10.2.2 waive all moral rights,
in and to your competition entry and otherwise arising in connection with your entry to which you may now or at any time in the future be entitled under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 as amended from time to time and under all similar legislation from time to time in force anywhere in the world.
10.3 You agree that the Promoter may, but is not required to, make your entry available on its Website and any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the competition. You agree to grant the Promoter a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the competition entry and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the competition entry and any accompanying materials for such purposes.
11 Data protection and publicity
The Promoter will only process your personal information as set out in the https://youwonwhat.com/privacy-policy-cookie-restriction-mode.
12.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
12.2 The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
12.3 An entry shall be declared void (without any refund being given) if the entrant is found to have been engaging in:
12.3.1 any form of fraud (actual or apparent);
12.3.2 fraudulent misrepresentation;
12.3.3 fraudulent concealment;
12.3.4 hacking or interface with the proper functioning of the Website; and/or
12.3.5 amending or unauthorised use of any of the code that constitutes the Website.
12.4 These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12.5 The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time, any changes will be immediately published on the Website.
